Pregnancy 101 | Third Trimester Pregnancy
Pregnancy 101 | Third Trimester Of Pregnancy:
http://www.lumalove.com/ Our topic for now is the third trimester of pregnancy. Pregnancy is divided into three different sections called trimesters. You have the first, the second, and the third trimester of pregnancy. The third trimester of pregnancy starts from when you are 28 weeks pregnant until that you deliver the baby, which is normally anywhere about 40-41 weeks pregnant. Now, during this period of time, there is tremendous growth for you in your body. Your baby gets huge.
You feel like there is no room for you anymore. So, you are going to get a lot of pregnancy symptoms, which can be a backache, heartburn, gas pain, constipation, hemorrhoids, leg cramps, swelling. You name it, you could get all these during the third trimester of pregnancy. It is a wonderful time for the women because your baby is moving all over the place, you are feeling connected and bonded and you just cannot wait to meet this incredible human that is growing inside of you. This here is the size of a 30-week baby.
The second trimester of pregnancy starts at 28.
You must be really conscious of what you are eating, must be high protein, high calcium so that this baby can grow and expand and to grow at the proper rate that it should be. You should expect to have a sonogram done at this time for the babies growth, especially if you are going past your due date, just to make sure that everything is okay inside. There will definitely be a blood test for diabetes and that is normally carried out at the beginning of the third trimester of pregnancy about the 28th week. So, if it is not done already, make sure that you get your blood tested for diabetes and that you get the results. Your body undergoes huge stress internally to help the baby and you want to make sure that your sugar levels are normal because if you do get pregnancy diabetes then we want you to take care of it early so that your baby will grow and be normal for you.
During the third trimester of pregnancy, there is a lot of focus on fetal movements.
During the third trimester of pregnancy, there is a lot of focus on fetal movements, that is, how many times is your baby moving in a two-hour period, and the average number of times is about 10 kicks in two hours. Now, you might say, oh! my baby is kicking all the time, that is great, but sometimes we get so busy in our lives and baby movements become part of who you are and part of your pregnancy that you forget to count.
So, please be very conscious that a couple of times during the day you put your hand in your belly and make sure your baby is moving. If the baby is moving, then you are fine. But, if you think the baby is on a quiet side, then I would advise you to go and eat something and then put your hand in your belly and you should at least get 10 kicks in a two-hour period. If you don’t, then you want to call your OB/GYN provider and discuss it with them and see what you should do. So, hope you have fun and it is an amazing part of your pregnancy, this third trimester, connect and bond because everything that you think, do, and say at each stage of your pregnancy can profoundly affect the well-being of your child for life.
