What is the reason for spotting during pregnancy?
http://www.lumalove.com/ So let us address spotting during pregnancy, that means you are spotting blood during pregnancy. Now it is definitely a very scary time for a pregnant woman when she suddenly goes to the bathroom, wipes herself sees blood on her underwear. You can definitely panic and be really scared. What I say to you if this happens to you just take a deep breath because the truth is that the outcome of a pregnancy is not in our hands.
Yes, we can do a lot of things to keep your baby safer and try to prevent miscarriage, but some situations are totally out of our hand. Now, why do you get pregnancy spotting? Well, we have what we call early in pregnancy there is pregnancy spotting that is referred to pregnancy implantation bleeding.
What is implantation spotting during pregnancy?
Implantation bleeding occurs when this fertilized ovum swims along the fallopian tube down into the womb and then it is going to embed into the lining of the womb. As it anchors itself to get a nice bed and nice rich blood supply to help it grow into a living baby. When this happens sometimes there is a little trickle of blood that comes out and this blood will trickle down through the womb out through the neck of the womb down into the vagina. Down the outside and that is you know spotting. You may see as a little bit of spotting and it is also referred to as implantation bleeding especially if it happens around the time when your period was due.
If you are just finding out that you are pregnant implantation bleeding can be brown in color, it can be fresh red in color varies from one woman to another. Fresh red means fresh blood. Stale blood is actually brown or dark in color, it can even be black in color. All of this form of spotting can occur in early pregnancy. Spotting later in pregnancy can be a sign of an infection on your cervix or inflammation on your cervix. It can also be a result of that there is a problem going on inside with your placenta. If your spotting becomes heavy it can also be an indication that there is a problem going on with the neck of the womb. The neck of the womb is starting to open to dilate.
How do I know if I am miscarrying?
If the neck of the womb starts to open and dilate in pregnancy that is a big concern because you could miscarry or go into preterm labor or lose your baby. If you have any spotting at all, the first thing you do is to try to remain calm, call your OB/GYN provider, that can be a nurse, midwife, nurse practitioner, doctor whatever, and tell them what has happened and they will solicit a variety of questions and answers from you and be depending on what you tell them about what is going on then they will advise you accordingly. The more you are informed about all the different aspects that could happen to you during pregnancy then you will have a higher probability of everything going right for you.
